First Flight has partnered with the Carolina Women’s Collective (CWC) since its inception, where connection, collaboration, and inspiration meet education.

Both First Flight and CWC embrace the diverse experiences of female entrepreneurs and business leaders across the Carolinas and beyond, empowering them to thrive personally and professionally. At CWC events, discussions with business leaders in the community spark creativity, foster meaningful connections, and fuel success through shared growth and support. The CWC has hosted two leadership summits, at which First Flight has been a proud sponsor of professional development, networking and collaboration. In 2025, First Flight launched a partnership with Junior Achievement of Eastern North Carolina. For over 100 years, the non-profit Junior Achievement (www.ja.org) has prepared students with the skills and confidence to pursue economic success. JA provides established curricula and educational materials that help trained volunteers and teachers deliver financial education to students in grades K-12. Together, First Flight and Junior Achievement partner to recruit volunteers, including the First Flight Credit Union Staff to help students with the skills and confidence they need to pursue economic and life success. The First Flight Business Volunteers bring their own knowledge of credit unions to the students through engaged volunteer sessions.

First Flight has a deep respect for our military, and supports active duty and veteran members of the armed forces. First Flight was founded at Cherry Point, NC; our teams look to support organizations that honor those who are serving and have served our country as well as first responders in our community.

First Flight has recently supported the Harrier Sundown Picnic and Salute to Veteran’s Dinner (Havelock Chamber of Commerce), No. 9 Township Fire and Rescue Station 35 (Craven County), Spotlight on Veteran’s Voices (via Caring for the Carolinas), and the First Responders Dinner (hosted by the Greenville Chamber of Commerce). In May 2026, a team of First Flight Volunteers participated in Women Who Build, helping to construct two homes in Carteret County. In 2025, First Flight was a proud sponsor of the 28th Annual Crystal Coast Habitat Golf Tournament to benefit affordable housing for families.
